Unser Guide des Tages war João, welcher uns direkt am Parkplatz schon erkannt hat. Unsere Gruppe bestand aus angenehmen drei Teilnehmern + Guide, was dazu beigetragen hat, dass wir uns direkt gut kennenlernen konnten und ein harmonisches miteinander entwickelt haben. Da wir keine Handschuhe dabei hatten, hat uns João netterweise zwei Paar geliehen, welche im Mai auch mehr als notwendig waren. Die Tour war sehr anspruchsvoll und für uns als Anfänger sehr fordernd. João hat sich extrem an unsere Bedürfnisse angepasst und nur deshalb konnten wir die Tour erfolgreich bewältigen. Er hat durchgehend die Motivation der Gruppe oben gehalten. Alles in allem empfehlenswert, Vorallem wegen des Guides.

Schöne Aussichten, Abenteuer, tolle Fotos
Steffi war super freundlich, hat uns viele Fakten über die Lavahöhlen und Kraterseen erzählt. Es sind wunderschöne Fotos entstanden. Alleine wären wir die Strecke wahrscheinlich nicht mit dem Auto gefahren. Hinterher haben wir spontan noch die Kajaktour gebucht, die genauso super und informativ war. Schnorcheln mit vielen bunten Fischen im Anschluss inbegriffen :)

We are left changed for the better
Our trips with Hominis Natura were fantastic. João was the kind of guide that felt like a long time friend from the start; providing deep knowledge and wonderful witty stories throughout our experiences. The guided walk/hike through Pico’s vineyards was a delight, rich with history and awe at human passion and sheer will. João accompanied us on a whale watching tour, where we had our family’s long time dreams of seeing a blue whale come true. The power of this experience left us with tears of joy and it was soul filling to watch João and our guides share our gratitude. From discussions about history, geology, biology, culture, architecture, and even speculating on the future and fates of humanity, we are left changed for the better. Thank you, Hominis Natura!

Climbing Pico with Nilton
Myself and my 19 yr old son climbed Pico with Nilton yesterday. He was a great guide, very personable and he set a comfortable pace. He even brought tea for us to drink when we reached the crater. He was always looking out for our wellbeing making sure we were doing well. We really enjoyed our climb!

Everything was perfect
I recently climbed Pico Mountain with the Hominis natura team and it was an unforgettable experience! The climb was indeed hard and technical, as described, but our guides, Steffi and Nilton, were professional and made us feel at ease throughout the 8km journey. We reached the summit at 2,351m in about 7 hours. The equipment provided (hiking poles) and the clear instructions about mandatory gear were essential for our safety. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to conquer the highest point in Portugal!

Nilton is a very professionnal and reliable guide. Every aspect of the Pico experience was well organized. Booking, informations, communications, briefing before the hike, the hike and afterwards. We were given knowledgeable advices before and throughout the hike. All together, this made a pleasant and safe hike during the day. Steffi is a great guide. She takes her responsibility for the safety of the participants seriously and is super nice. The hike itself was incredibly beautiful—it was unbelievable to be able to experience something like that! We were also lucky with the weather, which had a huge impact.

We travel with Hominis natura and the guide was Steffi Denecker Nor easy trail because of rough terrain and steep but Steffi find the best pace and path; you need good hiking shoes; poles from company; We have been 8 people For the top only those who want get Another secret surprise was at lunch break Sreffi has a lot of knowledge and local experience Most important good weather
